Bandon Feeds the Hungry set for Oct. 1

BANDON — The ninth-annual Bandon Feeds the Hungry variety show and silent auction is set for7 p.m.Saturday Oct. 1, at the Sprague Community Theater, 1202 11th St. SW in City Park.

This is a Bandon event that is not to be missed! Participate in an evening of music, fun and a silent auction while donating money to food assistance organizations that help keep the Bandon community strong.

This lively event will present musical entertainment including singers, dancers, actors, a magician and more. The silent auction includes many unique items and gift certificates donated by local individuals and merchants. Attendants will also enjoy door prizes, a 50/50 drawing, and a snack bar with refreshments provided by the nonprofit Everyone at Table (E.A.T.) which serves nutritious meals to those on limited incomes. Masters of ceremonies Mike Dempsey and Neal Davis will be sure to entertain with their quick wit as they guide the audience through the evening.

Proceeds from Bandon Feeds the Hungry will benefit Bandon’s five food assistance programs, which are dedicated to addressing the needs of the hungry: Bandon Senior Nutrition, Coastal Harvest Gleaners, E.A.T., Good Neighbors Food Bank and Restoration Church Food Pantry.

Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and students and $5 for children 10 and younger. Families (immediate family members) can attend for $25. Tickets can be purchased at the door. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. to give people plenty of time to look over the silent auction items. Bring a canned food to donate to Bandon Feeds the Hungry to receive a raffle ticket for door prize drawings.
