During the COVID pandemic, Bandon Feeds the Hungry was accepting donations for Bandon’s food assistance organizations. Donors could drop off canned or dry food items in front of Farm & Sea in the Old Town Marketplace parking lot at 250 First Street SW in Bandon, Oregon. You can also drop off a check in the Farm & Sea shop.
Thanks to Farm & Sea for staffing and the use of the tote to collect donations and to the Port of Bandon for use of the parking lot!
Farm & Sea accepted donations 7 days a week during their hours of operation (Mon thru Sat 10am-6pm, Sun 10-3). They started with drop-offs every Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, but the first two days of food collections were so successful that they expanded it.
You can also mail your check, made out to Bandon Feeds the Hungry, to P.O. Box 566, Bandon, OR 97411.
Amy Moss-Strong, the President of Bandon Feeds the Hungry, was distributing all food and monetary donations to the participating food assistance organizations in Bandon, including: Coastal Harvest, E.A.T., Good Neighbors Food Bank, Senior Nutrition, and Restoration Worship Center Food Pantry. 100 percent of all monetary donations are distributed evenly to each of the five 501(c)3 nonprofits and a receipt will be mailed to all donors for tax purposes. All donations are tax-deductible.
Thank you, Bandon, for working together and helping our community.
